I received this mixer as a gift. I tried to whip cream and had the cream all over my counter on Speed 1. Again tried to mix potatoes on Speed 1 Potatoes all over the counter. Called the customer service number and was told this is a high speed mixer and I probably should use a larger bowl. Wonder how large I need for 1 cup of whipping cream?

First of all, this color of this thing looks NOTHING like the picture. It is a bright, bright, bright neon green. It almost glows in the dark, I swear. It's definitely not what I was expecting, and I hate it! Secondly, the power on this thing is out of control. I don't know why anyone would ever use a speed over 1! Speed 1 is a 6 on normal mixers. After mixing a batch of cookie dough last night, my arm was SORE from trying to hold onto this thing while it wanted to do its own thing. My fiancé calls it the green monster because of its size and color. Do yourself a favor and order something different!

I received this as a gift to replace a 30 yr. old rusting hand mixer that still clunked along (different brand). I have a Kitchen Aid stand mixer that is the life blood of my baking, but some times I just need a quick mix so I asked for a cheap hand mixer for Christmas. My wonderful brother thought I deserved something better than a cheapey, thus the Cuisinart hand mixer whose food processors rule in my kitchen.

I almost felt dissappointed when I opened the pkg as this is way over kill for what I needed but it is truly a nice product. If it is the only mixer you have it would be wonderful as it has 5 speeds & is truly heavy duty. It can whip through some heavy cookie dough as I was surprised it could do. It is a heavy mixer, though. I was surprised at how much it weighed. Maybe I'm getting frail in my old age or just spoiled by the stand mixers but I'd hate to have to hold this mixer up for long time! I make home made marshmallows & they have to be whipped for 10 min.s. The thought of holding this mixer for 10 min.s makes my wrist hurt. But if you're young & starting out & not getting a stand mixer, this one should see you through many batches of heavy duty doughs. It is quite professional & well built.

The sandal came on time & is fine. I could have used a half size smaller (they are larger than I thought) but I can wear it, and it doesn't make that much of a difference. I didn't have the time to repackage it and send it back.

Generally I am pleased with it.

Great wearing, comfortable walking sandals. Excellent support and comfortable straps and sole. Like wearing nothing at all...almost. Coming from someone who has overturned ankles on more than one occasion, these sandals offer great control. They come through puddles without a blink, and dry quickly.

Survived Disney with my plantar fasciitis and this shoe! Super comfortable, and supportive. I thought maybe the top would rub but did not. The avg person walks 6-7 miles at disney, I wore these shoes every day but one, and missed them the day I did not wear them. Great support, comfortable and did not irritate my planter fasciitis at all.

All my laptops have lock holes on the left, and it was difficult to determine where to set the numbers upside down. No spacers came with it like other brand locks I have, so it fits loosely when in position. I purchased it for my daughter's laptop at college, and ended up buying a different lock at Wal-mart before she left for school.

I bought this lock from Microcenter (after sales and rebate: 15.00 so I might consider keeping it) because of the Kensington reputation for excellence in laptop locks.

Pros:
1. Flexibility of the cable, (6 ft. is good too, but most laptop locks are that length).
2. The rubber ring around the end of the lock lessens the chance of scratching and ripping away at the security lock of the laptop.
3. The bulky combo end looks sturdy and should deter the unconventional thief from making a move.

Cons:
1. Many people already express dislike for the poor instructions and design, but it's not really that complicated. I do think it's tedious and difficult to use a bit, especially if it's lock-onto your precious laptop and you're fumbling around (I've seen the horror of 17"in. Macbook Pros suffering from the case side bulging out...looks like a pimple on the side).

2. It is very hard to rotate the numbers and they don't click into place. You may have the correct combination numbers, but nothing will happen if they are not completely aligned which is a tad annoying.

3. The advantage is not having to deal with keys, but I'm beginning to think a key-ed lock is faster and you fumble less which means less moving the lock around = risk stratching your laptop.

I have 30 days to test this lock out. So far, I find it to be a mediocre lock with a highly regarded company name. Good luck! :)

There were a few comments that it's not a true 3 cupper, and that's true (it fills one mug), but then again, 4-cup and 10-cup coffee makers don't really brew that, either. I bought mine to bring to work and to travel with. Have hot water, will travel. It's perfect for that (but because it's glass, you do have to take precautions for transport). I brew Kirkland brand coffee, and it's fast and yummy! Plus, it's very cute and doesn't take up much shelf space.

These towels are very attractive and a generous size. I really like them. They are best for drying hands and laying out dishes on the counter to dry. They are NOT so good for hand drying dishes or cleaning up spilled liquid; they just don't seem to absorb the moisture quickly enough. They wash very nicely.

These towels shrink in the first two washes, and the sides kind of shrivel up a bit, making it so that they never fold flat again. I only washed them on warm, not hot, too. As others have said, they're also not very absorbent.

We have a beautiful, new ethan allen oval table in our main kitchen nook area. We wanted to buy a table cloth that would keep it protected. This one has done it. I was very impressed with the waterproofing quality of it. Many times we have spilled milk, juice, vase water, etc. on it and it simply bubbles up and sits on top of the table cloth. We simply clean it up with some paper towels and it stays clean. Keeps liquids from absorbing into it and onto the wood. Highly recommend!

The other reviewers are living in LaLa land. Did they see the picture? This strainer is EXACTLY as advertised and I use it everyday to strain my loose tea. The hook on the top keeps it in place over my cup -- That's what it's for. A fine mesh is what I need. This is a perfect tool and I wouldn't change a thing. Yeah, I can't strain a watermellon through it but I think I'll survive. LOL!

I'm a classic cocktail fanatic! I even host a podcast about cocktails. This is one of my must have pieces of equipment because I use it as my "double strainer." After shaking a drink, I will strain from my boston shaker using a hawthorne strainer in one hand while the other hand holds this above the chilled cocktail glass. This strainer is perfect for catching any citrus bits and ice chips making for a perfectly clean beverage. This product is a must have if you're crazy about mixology as I am.

I bought two of these, on for myself and one for a stocking stuffer.

I like both funnels' functionality as well as the strainer attachment. Afterall, a funnel is just a funnel, right?

And, like most larger funnels, the larger one does not fit in any of my shallow kitchen drawers. I have to keep it in a deeper drawer where space is at a premium.

It would be nice if these funnels were either more flexible or collapsible to make them fit in a smaller drawer.

I bought this years ago (about 5!) and it's been nothing but great to own. 2 sizes of funnels means it's perfect for loading spices from a huge container to a small vessel. The large one is great for funneling olive oil from a huge container to a narrow vessel. And we finally found a good use for the strainer: pouring used oil into a container to reuse, it successfully gets all the bits out. Great buy!

I purchased these funnels from Oxo primarily because I've owned many Oxo products in the past and their quality is great. I am pleased with the funnels so far, however, I expected them to be much larger for some reason. I'm not going to knock them just for that reason. I'll post up a picture (to scale with a dollar bill) later to show future buyers the real size of these funnels.

I primarily will be using these to fill a 1 gallon bottle with fresh filtered water from a 5 gallon bottle. I find it easier just to buy a 5 gallon bottle and fill it up with commercially filtered water (for $1.25), instead of wasting my charcoal filter (which is expensive) from my refrigerator for every 1 gallon of water I need to make my sugar free lemonade. So the fact that these funnels have a rubber isolator on the outside is awesome. It stops the funnel from moving around too much during pouring.

I know these will last, as with all Oxo products. So I highly recommend getting these. I'm a firm believer in "You get what you pay for". Buy something cheap and it won't last, so save yourself the trouble and get these and don't worry about funnels for a very long time.
